What We Do
Zwischen-raum // Intermediate space
The ZWISCHENRAUM is a joint project of the Toepfer Foundation and the Hamburg bar HADLEY's (Beim Schlump 84a). Every Monday at 7:30 p.m. we invite you to the bar for conversation and exchange over bread and wine. Each week, a different guest is invited to present a different perspective on an overarching theme. We focus on current discourses in science and society.
Solidarity and division, euphoria and despair, change and preservation - there's a lot we need to talk about and want to talk about. Every Monday evening, Hadley's opens its doors to get to know different perspectives and positions, to link them and to make joint plans. In particular, the focus is on exchange. After a moderated discussion with the respective guest in a cozy atmosphere, all ZWISCHENRAUM participants are invited to join in the conversation, ask questions, report on their own experiences or initiate new ones. If you just want to listen quietly for a while, you are also welcome!
Admission is free and registration is not required - but you are welcome to secure your place at reservierungen@hadleys.de. The bar will provide you with drinks and if you are hungry there is the Salon evening buffet. Drinks and food (if desired) should be paid for directly at Hadley's. There is no no minimum consumption. If you would like to eat beforehand, you can come as early as 18:30. The talks start at 19:30 and are normally held in German.
We are always happy to receive new ideas, topics and impulses and would like to make the ZWISCHENRAUM as open as possible. So please feel free to contact us if you would like to contribute your thoughts and ideas.
